Welcome to Rome Pizzeria

      After sitting in on a meeting with top executives of the national entertainment corporation for which he was the Director of Purchasing, Scott Faherty called his dad and said “I can do this.  Everything these guys are doing, I can do.”  Shortly after that phone call Scott began looking for his first venue.  Though he didn’t have an exact idea in mind, he knew that he wanted to find a restaurant that was already open, running, and in need of some TLC - a place that he could come in and make his own.  

      Month after month, restaurant after restaurant, the fit just wasn’t perfect.  If the concept was right, the location was wrong.  If the space was good, the roof was leaking.   When he found out his wife was going to have their first child, Scott’s ambition went into overdrive.  Goals and ideas became loftier and more grandiose.  Then he stumbled upon a pizzeria, brimming with character and overflowing with possibility.  And the location was FANTASTIC!!  Directly across from the PATH train in Hoboken.  That was in early June of 2010.  Scott Faherty, President of SLF Management, LLC, closed on his very first property, Rome Pizzeria & Grill, on July 22, 2010 - the day after he found out that he would be having a son at the end of November, 2010.

     After closing on the venue, Scott turned to his expectant wife, Laurice, to create and launch a Marketing and P.R. campaign to bring in a revitalized energy to this very raw venue. There was a tremendous need to find new, untapped loyalties.  Once a musical theatre performer and choreographer, Faherty (of the Mrs. Variety) transitioned into the corporate side of the industry several years earlier.  Former Director of Merchandising for New York City Dance Alliance, she has also worked on the producing teams of such Broadway productions as JERSEY BOYS, SPRING AWAKENING, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, and GYPSY.  As the Director of Marketing and Events she brings with her an eye for aesthetics and a flare for the social.  
     
     Our concept is one that will truly provide a unique and fun customer experience.  And it is the goal of SLF Management, LLC. and Rome Pizzeria and Grill to provide its customers with the best pizza in Hoboken along with superior customer service.  We truly believe that if you stop by one time that you will be compelled to come back again and again.
